…I don’t like having to click through the various fields on the “post to MovableType” form when posting to my MT linkroll. I basically wanted it to be a one-click affair. After looking at the MT source and deciding it was too complicated to bother hacking, I went and found Net::MovableType, and hacked up a simple cgi which has the options set the way I want them. Then I made a new version of the jscript “bookmarklet,” that points to my cgi, and hey presto, one-click blogrolling! This took me all of 60 minutes. I suppose this time could have been better spent, but it’s satisfying to know that I can come home and write a bit of code after winning $30 and three pints at the pool hall. Thanks Sherzod!
