The charging pins on my BlackBerry Pearl went south a couple of days ago, and instead of spending $79 to replace and upgrade that, I spent $399 for an iPhone. Whoever is doing the marketing over there… So now I’ve had it about 24 hours, and to be honest, I’m not sure how much I love it. It sure is pretty and fun to poke at, but there are a lot of things missing. Of course, it’s specifically designed to be crippled for Windows users, and that’s part of the issue, but I’m not sure if I’m ready to replace my PC with a Mac as well, just to get the complete iPhone experience…

I’ve only just now learned that one of my favorite Motorhead songs, “Emergency,” with the chorus of “nine nine nine Emergency” must be a reference to the UK’s emergency telephone number. There’s another song of the same name by British pop-punk group 999…

As if it hadn’t already, cross-dressing pseudo-poverty hipster retro-ness has finally gone too far. As if the f**king bowling shoe thing hadn’t already killed us, please can we just skip right over the incredibly pathetic washed-out cardigan/shlub look? Thank you.

I suppose it might just be the season, but bread pudding is clearly making a bit of a run. Tip o’ the hat to Alicia on this one.
